Dr. George Ibrahim, MD is a board-certified bariatric surgeon who is fellowship trained in
bariatric surgery and minimally invasive surgery. The American Surgery Center is Dr. Ibrahim's home out patient surgery center.
After earning his medical degree from Ain-Shams University Faculty of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt, Dr. Ibrahim completed a
general surgery residency at Easton Hospital in Easton, Pennsylvania. Dr. Ibrahim went on to complete his fellowship in minimally invasive surgery and bariatric surgery at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. Upon completion of his fellowship, Dr. Ibrahim returned to Easton Hospital to practice, until joining the surgeons and staff of CHRIAS in November of 2017. He is a member of several professional societies, including the Society of Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Ibrahim has a special interest in teaching and medical education. During his time at Easton Hospital, he was awarded numerous faculty teaching awards, including the faculty appreciation award for excellence in clinical teaching and teacher of the year award. Dr. Ibrahim was born in Egypt and speaks fluent English and Arabic. His interests outside of medicine include travel, history, soccer and watching old films.
